David Christensen’s current projects investigate the interplay of environment, archive, and recollection, through diverse techniques spanning repurposed digital and analogue imagery, darkroom manipulation, and photographs reminiscent of classic documentary styles.

His photographs have been exhibited at the Medium Photographic Festival in San Diego, the International Print Competition at the Print Center in Philadelphia, as well as in group shows in Minnesota, New Orleans, and Toronto.

A film director and producer in documentary, drama, and animation, David’s productions as producer have been nominated for two Oscars and an Emmy, have won the FWA Site of the Year, and have been nominated and awarded at the Canadian Screen Awards.

His films have played at major festivals around the world including the  IDFA, the Locarno Film Festival, the opening film at New York's MoMA's Documentary Fortnight, as well as the Hot Docs Documentary Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.
