David Christensen is a photographer, filmmaker, and producer whose current projects explore the interplay of environment, archive, and recollection. Working across analogue and digital processes, his photography draws on darkroom experimentation, repurposed imagery, and visual languages associated with documentary practice.

His photographic work has been exhibited at the Medium Photographic Festival in San Diego, the International Print Competition at the Print Center in Philadelphia, and in group exhibitions in Minnesota, New Orleans, and Toronto.

In film, Christensen has worked across documentary, drama, and animation as a director and producer. Productions he has produced have been nominated for two Academy Awards and an Emmy, recognized by the Canadian Screen Awards, and honored by the FWA. His films have screened internationally, including at IDFA, Locarno, MoMA’s Documentary Fortnight, Hot Docs, and the Toronto International Film Festival.`
